Who We Are
MCR (Magic City Rollers) / Florence Composite is a youth mountain biking team for rising 5th–12th graders in the Florence, SC area.
Our team offers a supportive environment where riders can thrive both on and off the trails. Through challenging experiences that are both enriching and encouraging, participants can develop physically, socially, and emotionally while learning life skills and building lasting friendships.
As proud members of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), we embrace NICA’s five core values:

As a team we strive to embody these values to foster personal growth, health, and character in youth through mountain biking.
Magic City Rollers consistently places in the top 6 out of approximately 20 teams in the South Carolina Interscholastic League (SCISL), but our main focus is having fun and making friends while inviting more kids on bikes!
Where’s the “Magic”?
Florence, South Carolina earned the nickname "Magic City" for its rapid transformation in the late 19th and early 20th centuries after multiple railroads converged here. The railroads made Florence a transport hub, spurring commerce and population growth. The term reflects both the literal railroad impact and the swift, almost miraculous economic and urban rise.
Years later the magic continues, especially through the people who live, work and play here. MagicCityRollers is an expression of that magic as together we ride, roll, race, play, laugh, face challenges and support each other.
